Laying ground tackle and moorings for placing buoys, research equipment and aquaculture is expensive.

Attaching Ecobuoy a set distance above your ground tackle or gear enables exact placement on the seabed and enables future retrieval because you can see the buoy on your sounder when you are over your gear. Using two Ecobuoys at set distances on a line above your gear gives an unmistakable image on your sounder.

Should you lose a surface marker buoy and wish to retrieve lost gear or ground tackle it is a simple matter to attach another Ecobuoy the same set distance above a weighted grappling hook and lower over the side of the boat.

When the two fish symbols on your sonar screen coincide your grappling hook will be on the seabed very close to your lost ground tackle or equipment.
